Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has undertaken an unscheduled visit to Matazu town and surrounding communities to assess security conditions and evaluate ongoing military operations in the area.
The low-profile visit followed a security briefing with the Theatre Commander, Major General W.B. Idris, and comes amid intensified efforts to implement presidential directives aimed at strengthening security across vulnerable communities in the state.
During the tour, the governor visited Matazu, Sayaya, Mazoji, Fafawa, Nasarawan Kalgo and Tashar Icce communities, where he observed residents carrying out their normal activities.
He also inspected key routes and settlements where military personnel and other security agencies have maintained a visible presence.
Radda said the deployment of troops and sustained patrols were contributing to improved stability across the affected areas.
The governor praised security agencies for their commitment and coordination, describing recent gains as encouraging signs in the broader effort to restore lasting peace across Katsina State.
He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to working closely with security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property throughout the state.
