Zulum Appoints Four Special Advisers, STA to Boost Governance, Post-Insurgency Recovery in Borno

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of four Special Advisers and a Senior Technical Assistant (STA) as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate the state’s post-insurgency recovery and reconstruction programme.

The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dauda Iliya, who said the action was taken in line with the powers vested in the governor under Section 196(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

The newly appointed Special Advisers are Engr. Ali Goni Lawan, Hon. Ali Sheriff Galgal, Hon. Bukar Aliyu Daja and Hon. Makinta M. Zarami.

Governor Zulum also approved the appointment of Engr. Gujja Bukar Dalori as Senior Technical Assistant on Reconstruction, a role expected to support the administration’s ongoing infrastructure renewal and rebuilding initiatives.

According to the statement, the appointments are aimed at reinforcing the administration’s commitment to effective governance, sustainable development and the reconstruction of communities affected by the insurgency, which has spanned nearly two decades in the state.

Governor Zulum congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication, professionalism and selfless service.

He further charged them to deploy their experience and expertise toward advancing his administration’s vision of rebuilding communities, consolidating peace and delivering quality governance that improves the lives of the people of Borno State.
