Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) nations convened in Évian-les-Bains, France, on Tuesday with discussions heavily focused on the recent agreement reached between the United States and Iran.

US President Donald Trump is expected to hold separate meetings with several Arab leaders as well as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the summit.

Speaking ahead of the meetings, Trump said details of the agreement would soon be made public and submitted to Congress for review.

The US president expressed confidence that future negotiations concerning Iran's nuclear programme would progress more smoothly under the new framework.

Trump also urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to exercise restraint in dealings with Lebanon amid continued tensions involving Hezbollah.

The agreement has drawn significant international attention due to its potential implications for regional security and global energy markets.

World leaders attending the summit are expected to discuss the broader geopolitical impact of the deal as well as ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.
