The Federal Government has unveiled three digital platforms designed to strengthen the monitoring, implementation and evaluation of public sector reforms, directing all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to adopt the new systems to improve accountability, transparency and service delivery.
The platforms, the Reform Tracker Dashboard, Knowledge Repository and the National Strategy for Public Service Reform (NSPSR) Dashboard were launched on Tuesday in Abuja by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
Speaking at the unveiling, Akume described the platforms as an integrated digital ecosystem that will transform how government reforms are monitored, documented and communicated across the Federal Public Service.
According to him, the initiative reflects the Tinubu administration's commitment to building a transparent, technology-driven and results-oriented public service capable of delivering quality services to Nigerians.
"The platforms demonstrate the Federal Government's unwavering commitment to building a transparent, accountable, technology-driven and results-oriented public service that delivers quality services to Nigerians," Akume said.
He explained that the Reform Tracker Dashboard would provide government with a credible mechanism for monitoring reform milestones, implementation timelines and key performance indicators across ministries and agencies.
The Knowledge Repository, he said, will serve as the Federal Government's central digital library, preserving reform policies, implementation strategies, reports and other knowledge resources to support institutional learning and continuity.
Akume added that the NSPSR Dashboard will provide policymakers with real-time visual data on the implementation of the National Strategy for Public Service Reform, enabling government to identify implementation gaps, monitor progress and make evidence-based policy decisions.
The SGF noted that the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises institutional reforms, digital transformation and improved governance.
He disclosed that a service-wide circular would be issued immediately after the launch, directing all MDAs to work closely with the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) to ensure the deployment and effective use of the platforms across the public service.
Akume urged government institutions to embrace the digital tools, saying they would significantly strengthen monitoring and evaluation processes while improving service delivery to citizens.
He also revealed that the Bureau of Public Service Reforms has been directed to conduct periodic impact assessments on the utilisation of the platforms to measure compliance with the government's directive.
Earlier, the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, said the platforms were developed to address long-standing weaknesses that have hindered public sector reform efforts, including poor coordination, fragmented implementation, inconsistent reporting standards and weak institutional memory.
According to Arabi, previous reform initiatives often failed not because of inadequate policies but because government lacked a unified framework for tracking implementation, measuring impact and preserving institutional knowledge.
He explained that the Reform Tracker Dashboard would replace traditional paper-based reporting with continuous digital monitoring, allowing government to track reform milestones, implementation status and key deliverables across MDAs through a single interface.
The Knowledge Repository, he added, will securely store reform reports, policy documents, implementation manuals, evaluation studies and best practices, making them easily accessible for research, policy development and institutional learning.
Arabi further said the NSPSR Dashboard will provide executive-level analytics on strategic reform priorities, sectoral performance and progress towards national reform objectives through automated reporting and interactive visual dashboards.
According to him, integrating the three platforms will improve real-time monitoring of reforms, strengthen transparency, enhance collaboration among government institutions, reduce duplication of initiatives, preserve institutional knowledge and support evidence-based policymaking.
He appealed to the SGF to ensure all MDAs are compelled to register and regularly update their reform initiatives on the Reform Tracker Dashboard to establish a uniform government-wide framework for planning, implementation and reporting.
Arabi also proposed the creation of Executive Reform Tracker Dashboards in both the Office of the President and the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation to provide the nation's leadership with real-time visibility into reform implementation across government.
He said such executive dashboards would enable the President and the SGF to quickly identify implementation bottlenecks, strengthen accountability and make timely, data-driven decisions in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
"Digital transformation is no longer optional; it is an imperative for effective governance," Arabi said, describing the new platforms as strategic national assets that will support the emergence of a digitally enabled, performance-driven and globally competitive public service.
