Zelensky Hails UK Support After Meeting King Charles

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked the United Kingdom for its “ironclad” support following a private meeting with King Charles III at Windsor Castle.

The meeting came after high-level talks involving Ukraine’s key European allies, including the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

Following the discussions, the leaders jointly called for a just and lasting peace settlement and urged Russia to agree to an immediate ceasefire.

Speaking after his audience with the King, Zelensky praised the continued solidarity shown by Britain and its people since the outbreak of the war.

He also disclosed plans to invite King Charles to Ukraine on an official state visit.

The Ukrainian leader’s visit highlighted the close diplomatic and strategic ties that have developed between Kyiv and London since Russia’s invasion.

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and security.
