Paris FC have appointed Liam Rosenior as their new head coach, handing the English manager a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028.
The French club announced on Tuesday that Rosenior will officially begin work on Thursday, July 9, when first-team training resumes.
Rosenior replaces Antoine Kombouare, who guided Paris FC away from relegation danger after taking charge in February and helped the club secure an 11th-place finish in Ligue 1. Under Kombouaré, Paris FC recorded notable victories against AS Monaco and reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain.
“Following this season and after discussions between all parties involved, it was decided to bring this collaboration to an end in order to open a new chapter in the club’s history,” Paris FC said in a statement announcing the managerial change.
The appointment marks Rosenior’s third managerial role in less than a year. The 41-year-old was dismissed by Chelsea FC in April after less than four months in charge, following his departure from RC Strasbourg Alsace, where he had gained praise for implementing an attacking style of football that helped the club move into the upper section of the Ligue 1 table.
Paris FC described Rosenior as one of the most promising young coaches in European football, highlighting his tactical approach and ability to develop young players.
“At 41, Liam Rosenior already has a wealth of experience at the highest level. He has quickly established himself as one of the most promising coaches of his generation,” the club said.
The appointment comes as Paris FC continue their transformation under the ownership of the LVMH luxury group, with the club aiming to establish itself as a stronger force in French football.
Antoine Arnault, representing the Arnault family that owns Paris FC, expressed confidence in Rosenior’s philosophy and coaching methods.
“My family and I are delighted to welcome Liam to our club and to see him return to our league here in France. I have always been impressed by his philosophy of play and by what he has built with his teams, which often consist of young players,” Arnault said.
Rosenior’s immediate task will be to build on Paris FC’s Ligue 1 campaign and help the club compete more consistently as it enters a new phase of ambition and investment.
