
Kano Appoints Ahmad Musbahu Garo as Kano Pillars Chairman

The Kano State Government has appointed Ahmad Musbahu Garo as the new Chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club.
Garo, an experienced football administrator, takes over the leadership of one of Nigeria's most successful football clubs with a mandate to strengthen its administration and improve its competitiveness.
Before his appointment, Garo served in several key roles at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), including FIFA Connect Manager, Administrator of Nigeria's U-23 national team and Coordinator of the Home-Based Super Eagles.
He also holds FIFA and CAF certifications in Club Management, Sports Management and Safety and Security, qualifications expected to support the club's drive towards modern football administration.
Speaking after his appointment, Garo pledged to focus on professional management, transparency and accountability while prioritising youth development and building a financially sustainable football club.
He said his vision is to transform Kano Pillars into a professionally managed institution capable of competing successfully in domestic competitions and on the continental stage.
Kano Pillars remain one of Nigeria's most decorated clubs, having won multiple Nigeria Premier Football League titles and represented the country in continental competitions.
