A group of medical doctors has announced plans to carry out 65 free adenotonsillectomy surgeries for children in Surulere 1 who are experiencing difficulty breathing through their nose and mouth.

The initiative is being organised in celebration of Peter Obi’s birthday. According to the organisers, the free surgeries will be provided to children suffering from conditions that require adenotonsillectomy, a surgical procedure involving the removal of the adenoids and tonsils to improve breathing.

The doctors said the programme is aimed at supporting families who may not be able to afford the procedure and improving the health and wellbeing of affected children in the community.

Parents or guardians seeking to register their children for the free surgery programme have been asked to contact the organisers through the telephone number: 09123110102.
