Fintiri Hails Oyebanji’s Re-election, Calls Victory Well Deserved

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election, describing the outcome as a clear reflection of public confidence in his leadership and performance.

In a statement issued on Sunday through his Chief Press Secretary, Fintiri said Oyebanji’s return for a second term was well deserved, citing what he described as visible development achievements, inclusive governance and people-focused policies during his first tenure.

He said the outcome of the election demonstrated the trust Ekiti residents have in Oyebanji to consolidate on existing progress and continue delivering democratic dividends.

“On behalf of the Government and good people of Adamawa State, I extend my warmest congratulations to my brother, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on his resounding re-election. This mandate is a clear testament to the trust and confidence the people of Ekiti have in your capacity to continue delivering the dividends of democracy,” Fintiri said.

The Adamawa governor praised Oyebanji for promoting peace, unity, and development in Ekiti State, adding that his second term provides an opportunity to strengthen governance and deepen ongoing reforms.

Fintiri also expressed optimism that stronger collaboration among Nigerian states would help address shared development challenges and support national progress.

Looking ahead, he called for peaceful and credible elections in the 2027 general polls, urging Nigerians to support leaders who would promote unity, security, and sustainable development.

“As we look ahead, I pray for a successful and peaceful 2027 general elections in Nigeria. May God grant our nation the wisdom to choose leaders who will continue to unite us, secure our future and uphold the ideals of democracy,” he said.

He wished Oyebanji a successful second term in office, praying for wisdom and greater accomplishments in service to Ekiti people.

The message joins a growing list of political endorsements and goodwill messages following Oyebanji’s re-election, widely interpreted as an affirmation of his administration’s performance over the past four years.
