Body of Missing Commercial Motorcyclist Found By Riverbank In Onala, Ado-Ekiti

Tension gripped residents of Onala community in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, after the body of a middle-aged commercial motorcyclist was discovered by a riverbank in the area.

The corpse was reportedly found by residents who had gone to the riverbank near Celestial Church of Christ, Mercy Land Parish.

The deceased, whose identity had yet to be confirmed as of the time of filing this report, was dressed in commercial motorcycle rider attire and was found lying beside the water.

Some residents who spoke with newsmen said that the deceased was a commercial motorcyclist who went missing after he was swept away during the recent heavy rainfall in Ado-Ekiti.

The residents appealed to the relevant authorities to evacuate the body before it began to decompose further, expressing fears that it could pose a health risk to the community.

As of the time of filing this report, the Ekiti State Police Command had not issued an official statement on the discovery.
