Senator Ifeanyi Araraume has disowned a statement circulating on various media platforms which was purportedly issued by him, describing the publication as false, unauthorised and deliberately created to mislead the public.

In a statement issued by his Communications Desk, Araraume specifically rejected a publication titled “A Message of Gratitude, Unity and a Clarion Call to Rebuild Okigwe Zone,” insisting that he neither authored nor authorised its release.

The former senator said the document was a fabrication aimed at distorting his position and creating unnecessary tension within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Araraume wishes to state that he remains a steadfast, disciplined and committed member of the All Progressives Congress. His loyalty to the party, its leadership and its ideals remains unwavering,” the statement said.

Araraume stated that he remains committed to the internal democratic processes of the APC and is awaiting the official position and final decision of the party regarding the Imo North Senatorial Primary.

He denied claims contained in the disputed publication suggesting that he had declared himself the party’s candidate, saying he would only communicate his position through recognised and authorised channels.

The former lawmaker also dismissed suggestions of a political disagreement between him and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, describing such claims as unfounded.

According to him, his relationship with the governor remains cordial, respectful and constructive, with both committed to the peace and development of Imo State.

“Any suggestion of disagreement, hostility, or political friction between them exists only in the imagination of the authors of the false publications and should be disregarded,” the statement added.

Araraume reaffirmed his belief in party unity, stressing that the strength of the APC depends on cooperation, mutual respect and collective commitment among its members.

He accused those behind the alleged publication of attempting to sow discord and create divisions within the party, adding that such efforts would not succeed.

The senator urged APC members, residents of Imo North, the people of Imo State, the media and the general public to disregard the publication, describing it as false and misleading.

He further reiterated his support for the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda, while pledging continued commitment to the development of Imo State and Nigeria through lawful and responsible engagement.
