Tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams are set for a highly anticipated reunion at Wimbledon after receiving a wildcard entry into the women's doubles competition.
Tournament organisers confirmed on Tuesday that the iconic sisters would compete together once again at the All England Club, marking Serena Williams first appearance at Wimbledon since 2022.
The announcement comes days after Serena's surprise return to professional tennis at Queen's Club, where she won her opening doubles match alongside Canadian partner Victoria Mboko.
The 44-year-old had stepped away from the sport following the 2022 US Open, declaring she was "evolving away" from tennis.

Her return has generated excitement across the sporting world, particularly given her remarkable record at Wimbledon.
Together, Serena and Venus have won six Wimbledon doubles titles and remain one of the most successful partnerships in tennis history.
Serena is also a seven-time Wimbledon singles champion, while Venus has lifted the singles trophy five times.
Although speculation had mounted over a possible singles comeback, Serena was not included among the wildcard entries for the singles draw.
Her focus now appears to be on extending an already remarkable legacy alongside her sister on one of tennis' biggest stages.
