
Wike Celebrates Daughter’s Graduation With Law Degree From UK University

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has celebrated his daughter, Jazmyne, after she graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom.
Wike, in a post on X on Thursday, disclosed that his daughter graduated with an Upper Second-Class Honours degree.
The minister expressed delight at the academic achievement, saying he and his wife were proud to witness the milestone.
“I celebrate and rejoice with my daughter, Jazmyne, who yesterday, earned a Bachelor of Laws (Upper Second-Class Honours) degree from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom,” Wike wrote.
He added: “My darling wife and I are so elated to have witnessed that moment of joy of parenthood. Jazmyne, thank you for making us proud.”
Wike also expressed appreciation to dignitaries who attended the graduation ceremony despite their busy schedules.
Among those he acknowledged were Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.
“I thank my friend and brother, His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the BoT Chairman of our party, the PDP, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, and others who attended the graduation ceremony, not minding their busy schedules,” he said.
The FCT minister concluded his message by celebrating the joy parents derive from witnessing their children's achievements.
“You will always receive happiness from your children,” he added.
