Troops of the Nigerian Army's 12 Brigade, working with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), have arrested four persons suspected of collaborating with terrorist groups in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The arrests were reportedly made during a joint intelligence-led operation targeting individuals suspected of providing support to terrorist elements operating within and around the state.

The development was disclosed on Tuesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama, who cited security sources in a post on his verified X account.

According to the report, troops stationed at the Kabba Patrol Base, alongside DSS operatives, carried out the operation at about 12:11 p.m on Monday.

The suspects were apprehended at Light Hotel, located along the Odumo-Kabba Road, following what security sources described as credible intelligence linking them to activities associated with terrorist groups.

Makama reported that the operation was executed without resistance.

"The four suspects were arrested without incident and have since been handed over to the DSS for further investigation and possible prosecution," he stated.

Security authorities have not officially disclosed the identities of the suspects or identified the specific terrorist group they are alleged to have supported.

The suspects are currently in the custody of the Department of State Services, where investigations are expected to continue.

According to the report, the operation forms part of sustained intelligence-driven efforts by security agencies to dismantle terrorist support networks, disrupt logistics and strengthen security across Kogi State and neighbouring areas.

The arrests also highlight the continued collaboration between the Nigerian Army and the DSS in carrying out coordinated operations aimed at preventing terrorist activities and improving public safety.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Nigerian Army or the Department of State Services confirming the arrests. SkyHigh News Hub will provide updates as more information becomes available.
