Popular Nollywood actor Stan Nze has stirred widespread reactions after revealing that he could forgive a partner who cheats, provided there is genuine remorse and accountability.

The actor made the remarks during a recent interview in which he reflected on marriage, trust, commitment and the challenges facing modern relationships.

Speaking on the issue of infidelity, Nze said he believes authentic love possesses the strength to survive difficult moments, including betrayal.

According to him, the foundation of lasting relationships lies in selflessness, kindness and values rooted in mutual respect rather than fleeting emotions or physical attraction.

“Love is enough, real love rooted in selflessness and kindness as taught in Christ, not fleeting attraction or emotion,” he said.

The actor added that while forgiveness remains important, it should not be interpreted as approval for continued misconduct.

“Yes, I can forgive cheating, but forgiveness must not become permission for repeated wrongdoing as love requires wisdom and boundaries,” he stated.

His comments quickly generated debate on social media, with many fans expressing differing views on whether infidelity should be forgiven in a marriage.

Some praised the actor for advocating emotional maturity, forgiveness and reconciliation, arguing that relationships often require grace and understanding.

Others disagreed strongly, insisting that infidelity represents a breach of trust that should not be tolerated or excused.

The discussion has since evolved into a broader conversation about loyalty, accountability and the changing expectations of relationships in contemporary society.

While opinions remain divided, Nze’s comments have once again highlighted the enduring debate over whether love alone is sufficient to overcome one of the most challenging issues couples can face.
