The Ogun State Police Command has recovered the missing Lexus RX300 belonging to slain broadcaster, Kitan Oyesiku, as investigations into her killing and that of her security guard gather momentum.

Police spokesperson, CSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed that the vehicle, earlier reported missing from Oyesiku’s residence, was recovered during a night operation and has been secured as a key exhibit in the ongoing investigation.

In a related development, the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, on Tuesday visited the deceased’s residence for an on-the-spot assessment as detectives intensify efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the double homicide.

According to the police, the visit forms part of ongoing efforts to uncover those responsible for the killings and ensure they are brought to justice.

During the inspection, Ojajuni received briefings from investigators and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to identifying, arresting, and prosecuting all individuals linked to the crime.

The police chief also conveyed condolences to the family of the late broadcaster and assured residents that all available resources were being deployed to crack the case.

“We are making significant progress in the investigation and will continue to keep the public informed as developments unfold,” the commissioner said.

The shocking deaths of Oyesiku and her security guard have sparked widespread concern across Ogun State, with residents demanding a thorough and speedy investigation.

Police had earlier discovered the body of the security guard inside the security post, while Oyesiku’s corpse was later found in her apartment. Her Lexus SUV was initially reported missing before its recovery by investigators.

Authorities say investigations remain ongoing as efforts continue to determine the motive behind the killings and track down those responsible.
