
Makinde Pledges Uninterrupted Education, Full Rehabilitation for Rescued Oriire Pupils

Governor Seyi Makinde has assured the pupils and teachers rescued from the Oriire school abduction that the traumatic experience will not derail their education, pledging comprehensive support for their recovery and return to normal life.
Speaking during the official handover of the victims by the Nigerian Army on Monday, the governor said the Oyo State Government would ensure that every affected pupil returns to school without losing out academically. He stressed that the state would provide the necessary educational support to help them continue their studies.

Makinde also assured the victims and their families that their welfare remains a priority, promising sustained medical care, psychological rehabilitation and other forms of support to aid their recovery and reintegration into society.
The governor urged the rescued pupils and teachers to remain hopeful despite their ordeal, assuring them that the government would stand by them throughout the healing process.
He commended the Nigerian Army, other security agencies and all stakeholders involved in the rescue operation, describing the successful recovery of the victims as a result of coordinated efforts and unwavering commitment to bringing them home safely.
