An Air Peace aircraft conveying the latest batch of Nigerians evacuated from South Africa arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Friday morning.
The aircraft touched down at approximately 10:42 a.m., marking the latest phase of the Federal Government's evacuation effort for Nigerians returning from South Africa.
The returnees were evacuated following recent developments affecting Nigerians and other black migrants in parts of South Africa.
Government officials are expected to receive the returnees at the airport and provide further details on the evacuation exercise.
More information is expected as authorities brief the public on the operation and the number of Nigerians aboard the flight.
