Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke says his administration's infrastructure achievements have vindicated his leadership, declaring that he has proved critics who doubted his ability to govern wrong.

The governor made the remarks on Thursday while inaugurating road projects in Ejigbo, where he highlighted his administration's record in infrastructure development and reaffirmed his commitment to completing ongoing projects across the state.

According to Adeleke, those who predicted his administration would fail have been disappointed by the pace of development under his leadership.

"They once predicted that we wouldn't perform, but I surprised them. I deliver so well," the governor said.

Adeleke assured residents of Ejigbo that his government would fulfil every promise made to the community, including the completion of the ongoing Ejigbo-Iwo road project.

He also commended the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Oyeyode Oyesosin, for his support and encouragement since the inception of his administration.

"I want to commend the royal father for your backing. I remember all my promises to the Ogiyan; I will fulfil them by the grace of God.

"I want to assure you, my father, the Ogiyan, that you will commission the Ejigbo-Iwo road once it is completed."

In his remarks, the traditional ruler praised the Adeleke administration for undertaking road projects that had remained a longstanding concern for residents of Ejigbo and neighbouring communities.

Oba Oyesosin described the projects as significant interventions that would improve connectivity and economic activities in the area, adding that the people appreciated the governor's commitment to infrastructure development.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the Osun State Ministry of Works, Bello Bashir, said the newly inaugurated project is a 33-kilometre intercity road linking more than seven communities, including Ejigbo, Ilawo, Iwata, Ijimoba, Alagba, Iwo-Oke, Ibarapa, Amere and Iwo.

According to Bashir, the road is expected to improve transportation, facilitate commerce and enhance socio-economic activities across the benefiting communities.
